So, after fielding many questions recently, I realized that we had not updated you all since consulting with Nick's doctors after the car accident (over Thanksgiving). Two of the three doctors were on board with us sticking to the original plan of beginning Nick's 6 week chemo. / radiation regimen the last week of January (Approx. Jan. 26 - March 6).
There is no evidence from the MRI that the tumor has changed. The most probable explanation for the accident is severe sleep deprivation. The most specialized doc, the neuro-oncologist at Henry Ford, agreed that there was no need to expedite treatment. This was a relief to us, to be able to get through the holidays and Nick's birthday before starting treatment.Nick has had no seizures since Dec. 1. He is unable to drive for six months. It puts a lot more pressure on me, but we have received soooo much help from friends. Thank you all!
I will certainly continue to update you as treatment begins. Please pray for healing, wisdom for the doctor's, for Nick to respond / recover well, and for continued peace. May you all recognize the many blessings in your life this Christmas and rest peacefully at the feet of our Savior. Merry Christmas!
Love & prayers,
Jen, Nick, & Sarah Thomm

My prayers are with you guys. Nick, you've always been gracious and helpful when I've called in to get some info, or stopped by the studio and just said "hi" while dropping off those mailer envelopes for the radio drive thank you gifts. You are certainly one of the "good guys" out there.
